First of all P2P is a personal tool for aiding your prayer life -- a virtual prayer journal for storing requests, scripture, written prayers, praises, etc. Secondly it is for sharing requests with other users, people you add to your "Friends" list, or with groups of users, what we're calling "Communities,” and for finding and praying for requests other users have shared.
Sure! Just add a new request and use the description box for your text. We just called it “New Request” because that is the most common thing people will use it for, but it can be anything you want it to be.
No, by default a request is not shared when you create it. It will only be seen by others if you turn sharing on.
You don’t have to edit the description. Just add a comment to your request. It will be timestamped so you can remember when it was updated.
If you know a friend username or the community name, you can add it in Settings > Friends or Settings > Communities. If you need to look them up, use the Connect section.
You can click the edit icon (paper and pencil) beside the request, or if you are viewing the request just click the edit link at the top.
Click a request to view it, then click the delete link at the top of the page.
Archive. One of the main reasons we created People2Pray is so you can remember how God has worked in your life. Archived requests are available in the (you-guessed-it!) Archive section.
Click a request to view it, then click the archive link at the top of the page.
No. But let’s say you add johndoe to your friends and you share a request with him. Even if you aren’t on his list, he will see a message on his friends page letting him know someone is sharing a request with him.
You can browse public requests by clicking Connect and chosing “Requests” at the top. You can view a list of recently added requests, or you can browse by tag.
Click “edit friends” or “edit communities” found at the top of each of those sections. You can also get there by going to in Settings > Friends or Settings > Communities. Click the X beside the friend or community you would like to remove.
Just click the gray flag to make a request flagged, click it again to unflag.
Let’s say you find a public request that you want to pray for, but you may not know the person well enough to put him or her on your friend list. Flag it for easy reference later and to see future comments on it in your recent activity. Or you may have a large list of personal requests and want to flag the really important ones.
Set up your profile by clicking Settings/Profile. Add tags like “mother knitter dallas reading”. Put your name in, your location (ex: Lynchburg, VA).
